GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR ORGANIC FARMING

GROUND APPLICATION

I. pH below 4.5 : Apply lime @ 2-3 tonnes /ha during January / February


II. Organic carbon :

Below 1 % : Cowdung @ 7.5 tonnes/ha X 1 application + Annapurna @ 375 kg/ha X
4 applications + Nalpak @ 12.5 kg /ha X 4 applications


Above 1 % : Cowdung @ 7.5 tonnes/ha X 1 application + Annapurna @ 375 kg/ha X
3 applications + Nalpak @ 12.5 kg /ha X 3 applications

III. Phosphorus :

Less than 20 kg /ha : UPASI TRF Phosphobacteria @ 25 kg /ha X 4 applications + Trishul @ 7.5 kg/ha X 4 applications

More than 20 kg/ha : UPASI TRF Phosphobacteria @ 25 kg /ha X 2 applications + Trishul @ 7.5 kg/ha X 2 applications

IV. Potassium

Less than 149 kg /ha : Shakti @ 5 kg /ha X 4 applications

More than 149 kg/ha : Shakti @ 5 kg X 2 applications

V. Sulphur

Less than 40 ppm : Elemental Suphur ( 80 % ) @ 40 kg /ha X 2 applications

More than 40 ppm : Elemental Suphur ( 80 % ) @ 40 kg /ha X 1 application


FOLIAR SPRAY ( IN ALL THE SECTIONS)

Multiplex Major @ 1000 ml /ha X 4 applications

Sea Flower @ 500 ml/ha X 4 applications


NOTE : Above nutrients are actual requirement for the plantation. However adjustments can be made according to the budgetary provisions of the tea garden.
